About the role
The Service Technician will deliver support to internal and external clients, ensuring operational excellence across service delivery, technical coordination and administrative functions. The position is based in Benoni and involves on‑site work in the energy sector.
Key responsibilities
- Test battery chargers and UPS systems.
- Repair site chargers and commission battery chargers on site.
- Perform maintenance and commissioning activities.
- Test PCB cards to component level.
- Conduct on‑site fault finding and repair work.
- Carry out technical investigations, site audits and quality control.
- Provide telephone and on‑site support to customers.
- Supervise third‑party contractors and produce site documentation and reports.
Required profile
- Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or a related qualification.
- At least three (3) years of experience in a similar service role within the energy industry.
- Valid Code C driver’s licence and willingness to travel locally and internationally.
- Ability to work without supervision, under pressure and for long hours.
