Service Manager – High‑Volume Dealership (Johannesburg North)

About the role

Our automotive dealer client in Johannesburg North is seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead a high‑volume service department. The role reports directly to the Dealer Principal and is responsible for profitable, efficient operations and high customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Control resources to meet profit targets while enhancing customer relations.
• Maximise departmental profitability through labour sales and related products.
• Supervise staff, manage performance, discipline and other HR functions.
• Monitor and control budgets, operating costs and composite figures on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
• Ensure efficient labour utilisation, productivity and sales to achieve service department objectives.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and retention.

Required profile

• Qualified technician with a Motor Mechanic related trade qualification.
• Matriculation; a post‑matric management qualification is advantageous.
• Fully computer literate with proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
• Valid driver’s licence.
