Service Manager, Chinese Sector

About the role

Standard Bank Group is looking for a Service Manager for its Chinese sector, based in Johannesburg. The role manages and grows a portfolio of clients in the Chinese sector, driving sustainable business performance and delivering exceptional client service. It works closely with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored solutions, identify growth opportunities and expand the portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of clients in the Chinese sector, ensuring portfolio profitability, compliance and risk management.
• Develop and maintain strategic client relationships and provide expert market insights.
• Lead client engagements and monitor market and regulatory developments.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to business objectives through proactive stakeholder management.

Required profile

• Diploma in Business, Commerce, Consumer Services, Finance or a related field; an advanced degree in Finance, Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
• 5-7 years of experience in service management and operations.
• Seasoned knowledge of banking products, services and channels, and experience resolving complex client service issues.
• Preferred: professional certifications such as CFA, FRM or equivalent, and experience with risk management and compliance in the financial sector.
