Service Engineer / Junior Project Engineer – Medium to Heavy Industry

About the role

We are seeking a Service Engineer / Junior Project Engineer to join our Boksburg facility, which manufactures heavy machinery and equipment for the medium to heavy steel industry. The role involves managing projects from planning through execution and providing on‑site technical service and maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and monitor engineering projects, ensuring adherence to budgets, timelines and quality standards.
• Perform on‑site maintenance, equipment installations and commissioning.
• Prepare technical documentation, job instructions and risk assessments.
• Manage project budgets, costs and deadlines to achieve successful project delivery.

Required profile

• Matric / Grade 12 and a National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–4 years hands‑on experience in project management within the medium to heavy steel industry.
• Own transport and a valid driver’s licence.
• Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• SolidWorks.
• Microsoft Project.
