Service Advisor – Automotive Workshop (Midvaal)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Service Advisor to join our automotive workshop in Midvaal. The role involves being the primary liaison between customers, technicians, and the parts department, ensuring efficient service delivery for heavy and commercial vehicles.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for customers bringing trucks and commercial vehicles for service, repair, or inspection.
• Open, manage, and close job cards, accurately recording faults and customer concerns.
• Provide clear repair estimates, service recommendations, and cost explanations.
• Coordinate communication between customers, workshop technicians, and the parts department.
• Monitor job progress to ensure timely completion and adherence to warranty procedures.
• Maintain detailed documentation of service history, parts usage, and warranty claims.
• Assist with workshop scheduling to optimise technician productivity.
• Build and maintain relationships with fleet clients and commercial vehicle operators.

Required profile

• Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Service Advisor in a heavy, medium, or light commercial vehicle workshop or dealership.
• Strong technical understanding of vehicle servicing, diagnostics, and repair processes.
• Hands‑on experience with multiple truck brands and warranty systems.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
