Senior Team Leader: Security Systems Support

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Team Leader to manage the day‑to‑day operation, performance and reliability of physical security systems across a large financial environment. The role combines operational leadership with hands‑on technical oversight of electronic security infrastructure while mentoring a high‑performing support team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of access control, CCTV, alarm and intrusion detection systems across multiple sites.
• Ensure system availability, reliability and rapid resolution of faults or anomalies.
• Maintain governance frameworks, compliance with legislation and security standards.
• Produce operational reports, dashboards and performance metrics.
• Mentor, coach and develop a technical support team of six engineers.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies for all security systems.
• Coordinate with ICT teams on network, server and digital platform dependencies.

Required profile

• Honours Degree in Information Technology, Security Systems Management or equivalent (NQF 8).
• 8‑10 years experience managing electronic security systems.
• Minimum 3 years in a team‑leadership or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of security incident management, relevant legislation and SANS standards.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
