Senior Tax Administrator – Cape Town

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Tax Administrator to join our Cape Town office, supporting a diverse client portfolio with tax compliance, filing and advisory services.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and complete income tax returns and provisional tax computations for all tax types.
• Perform tax computations, including Capital Gains Tax (CGT).
• Maintain various tax types on e‑filing platforms.
• Manage a diverse client portfolio and ensure tax and payroll compliance.
• Handle objections, disputes, registrations and related queries.
• Correspond with SARS via e‑filing and attend SARS visits.
• Address IT14SD/verification queries and prepare reconciliations.
• Prepare dividend tax returns and attend to VDP applications.
• Consult with clients, draft responses and collate information for verification requests and audits (Income tax, VAT, PAYE).
• Provide technical opinions on complex tax matters and conduct research to deliver tax advice.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience in a similar tax environment.
• Registration as a SARS Tax Practitioner is an advantage.
• Highly computer literate in MS Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Knowledge of ProfSoft software is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Own transport preferred, including a valid South African driver’s licence.
