Senior Software Engineer (TypeScript, Remote)

About the role

Klardaten is expanding its technical team and is looking for one or two Senior Software Engineers to help shape its product ecosystem. The company bridges the gap between DATEV and modern software and AI applications, focusing on seamless integration and process automation. The role suits developers who thrive in a highly autonomous environment and take full ownership of development cycles from inception to deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Build robust integrations and automations that connect external software platforms with DATEV, keeping production code healthy and reliable.
• Translate high-level product goals into technical requirements and development plans.
• Develop and maintain full-stack features with a strong focus on TypeScript.
• Build and manage complex integrations, including API connectivity, secure authentication and database interactions.
• Test rigorously, deploy code and troubleshoot production issues.
• Work autonomously, clear blockers and share status updates with leadership.
• Evaluate AI-generated code to ensure it meets production standards.

Required profile

• Proven track record of shipping production-ready software independently, without day-to-day task management.
• Ability to take a feature from a loose idea to a deployed product.
• Strong debugging skills for live systems.
• Clear, professional written and spoken English for remote collaboration.

Required skills

• Extensive production-level TypeScript across frontend and backend.
• Experience building reliable APIs, managing databases and handling errors in automation workflows.
• C#/.NET or DATEV integration experience is an asset; German is a bonus.
