Senior Software Engineer – Shopify Integration

About the role

Impact.com is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with deep expertise in Shopify to lead and evolve its Shopify integration platform. You will work closely with the E‑commerce Platform Integrations team to ensure thousands of merchants can seamlessly connect to Impact’s partnership ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Own the development and continuous improvement of Impact’s Shopify integration, including Apps, Web Pixels, and platform extensions.
• Design and implement secure OAuth flows, credential management, and automated merchant onboarding.
• Build and maintain the Ruby on Rails service that connects Shopify with Impact’s APIs and workflow engine.
• Create resilient webhook consumers, manage high‑volume data pipelines, and ensure reliable synchronization between platforms.
• Monitor production health, handle API version upgrades, and troubleshoot merchant‑specific issues.

Required profile

• Extensive experience with the Shopify platform and a passion for staying current with its releases.
• Strong background in building scalable, privacy‑compliant backend systems.
• Ability to design robust architecture decisions and influence product direction.
• Comfortable working with Ruby on Rails or willing to deepen expertise quickly.
