Senior Software Engineer – Remote Contract

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team on a contract basis, working remotely 10‑40 hours per week. The role focuses on building reinforcement learning environments and solving complex software engineering challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Create reinforcement learning environments to test AI models' problem‑solving abilities.
• Develop solutions for complex software engineering problems, including bug fixing and feature implementation.
• Refactor codebases and optimize software performance.
• Create reproducible environments and golden reference solutions for engineering challenges.

Required profile

• Proficiency in Python3, Java, Rust, or TypeScript; experience with C++ or Go is a strong asset.
• Deep understanding of algorithms, data structures, and performance tuning.
• Demonstrated experience debugging complex software issues and delivering maintainable solutions.
• Strong background in feature development and codebase refactoring.
• Proven ability to optimize software for performance and scalability.
