Senior Sales Manager

About the role

The Senior Sales Manager will lead Red Ant Agri Engineering’s sales activities from its Paarl headquarters, driving revenue growth across a broad portfolio of agricultural machinery and orchard solutions. This full‑time, on‑site position focuses on building strong relationships with farmers, agribusinesses and dealers while delivering tailored, value‑based solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with market needs and company objectives.
• Manage key accounts, project‑based sales and dealer networks, setting performance targets.
• Lead, coach and motivate the sales team to achieve high‑performance results.
• Conduct farm visits, product demonstrations and negotiate contracts.
• Collaborate with engineering and service teams to design bespoke solutions.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and prepare accurate sales forecasts and reports.
• Represent the company at industry events and maintain deep product knowledge.

Required profile

• Proven experience in sales leadership, account management and business development, preferably in agricultural machinery or related sectors.
• Strong relationship‑building, negotiation and customer‑service capabilities with farmers and agribusiness stakeholders.
• Ability to analyse market data, develop strategies and manage pipelines and forecasts.
• Experience leading and mentoring sales teams, setting targets and fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Solid understanding of farming operations and agricultural technologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel regularly within the region and nationally.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems or similar sales‑pipeline tools.
