Senior Project Manager – Fire Sprinkler Projects

About the role

The Senior Project Manager will lead large‑scale fire sprinkler and fire‑protection projects from inception to handover. You will be responsible for planning, execution, budgeting, client liaison and compliance, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Manage multiple fire‑sprinkler installations across commercial, industrial, retail, warehousing and high‑risk facilities.
• Oversee all project phases – planning, procurement, installation, commissioning and final handover.
• Develop and maintain schedules, budgets and resource plans; monitor progress against milestones.
• Act as primary contact for clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers; handle variations, claims and contractual matters.
• Lead project managers, site supervisors, technicians and subcontractors; provide technical guidance and ensure effective communication.
• Prepare and control project budgets, forecasts, cash flow and profitability; approve procurement and subcontractor appointments.
• Ensure compliance with SANS standards, fire‑protection regulations and OHSA requirements; review drawings and hydraulic calculations.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and support tendering and business‑development activities.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in the fire‑sprinkler industry.
• Proven leadership ability to manage multiple high‑value projects simultaneously.
• Strong client‑relationship and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Solid financial and commercial acumen.
• Ability to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
