Senior Project Engineer – IT Systems Integration

About the role

The Senior Project Engineer will join a high‑performing systems integrator team, delivering complex hardware and software projects for enterprise clients. You will be responsible for end‑to‑end project delivery, from scoping and pricing through implementation and optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve escalations from Tier 2 support and manage version upgrades, migrations and other change projects.
• Scope and price projects in the pre‑sales phase, create Statements of Work and Gantt charts with agreed timelines.
• Lead client liaison, provide regular updates and ensure clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Implement hardware and software solutions on Wintel and virtualisation platforms, documenting processes to improve repeatability and automation.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in an IT MSP environment with a strong background in Windows server technologies.
• Advanced knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IIS, PKI and Exchange 2013+.
• Proficient with VMware vSphere and Hyper‑V, as well as networking concepts such as IP addressing, VLANs, routing and firewall behaviour.
• ITIL‑oriented mindset, able to work under pressure, mentor junior staff and maintain high customer‑service standards.
