Senior Professional Quantity Surveyor – Mining/EPCM

About the role

Our client, a leading Quantity Surveying and Project Management firm serving the mining sector, is seeking a Senior Professional Quantity Surveyor. You will lead the financial and contractual aspects of complex mining and EPCM projects from inception to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute mining and engineering projects through all stages (1‑6).
• Prepare feasibility studies, cost estimates, preliminary budgets, elemental estimates and BOQ production.
• Develop procurement documents, final accounts and fee proposals for professional appointments.
• Draft contract documentation, adjudication reports, cost reports and payment progress schedules.
• Manage complex mining/EPCM contracts, conduct cost control, cash‑flow forecasting and value engineering.
• Address budget constraints and logistical challenges to keep projects on track.
• Supervise and mentor junior Quantity Surveyors.

Required profile

• BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying.
• Professional registration with the South African Council for the Quantity Surveying Profession (SACQSP) – non‑negotiable.
• Minimum 9 years post‑qualification experience in Mining, EPCM or SMPP.
• Proven ability to lead teams and willingness to travel as required.
