Senior Planner - @home

About the role

TFG Home is hiring a Senior Planner (Planner III) to mentor its Merchandise Planning Team and project future sales into key categories. The role covers range assortment and replenishment, distribution strategy and supporting team members, working across the Bedroom and Bathroom categories.

Key responsibilities

• Mentor the Merchandise Planning Team and provide guidance and support to team members.
• Drive planning performance in the Bedroom and Bathroom categories through data-led decision making and commercial analysis.
• Project future sales, manage forecasting and optimise inventory investment, stock levels and sales performance.
• Analyse sales trends, stock levels and trading performance, implement corrective actions and prepare performance insights for trade meetings.
• Manage range assortments and replenishment, and implement distribution strategies to maximise product availability.
• Develop category strategic, tactical and operational plans to meet sales, profit and inventory targets.
• Manage OTB allowances across in-season and forward budgets.
• Partner with suppliers to influence product decisions, stock flow and category performance.
• Review weekly sales performance with the Buying team and work with Buying, Marketing, Visual Merchandising and Operations to optimise assortment, availability and profitability.
• Take ownership of demand forecasting, stock management and replenishment planning, and conduct regular store visits.

Required profile

• Diploma, graduate degree or postgraduate degree.
• 5 years of proven merchandise planning experience in a retail environment.
• Strong numerical, analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
• Advantageous: experience in homeware, home softs, bedroom or bathroom categories, and in a SKU-intensive retail environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Market research and analysis, supplier management, global sourcing and strategic eCommerce.
