Senior .NET Developer – Cape Town

About the role

Our client, a leading warehousing, transport and shipping‑container logistics provider in Cape Town, is seeking a proactive Senior Associate Developer. You will maintain business‑critical production systems while driving the migration of legacy VB.NET services and IIS‑hosted applications to modern C# and .NET 10 solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the modernization of legacy VB.NET applications, Windows Services and IIS‑hosted websites into C#/.NET 10 solutions.
• Design, develop and support enterprise applications using C#.NET, SQL Server, ASP.NET, MAUI and related Microsoft technologies.
• Create, maintain and optimise Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, Git repositories, branch strategies and build policies.
• Manage Azure Key Vault secrets, certificates and configuration settings across environments.
• Develop integrations with Microsoft Graph API and other Microsoft cloud services.
• Implement automation to improve development, deployment, monitoring and operational efficiency.
• Analyse business requirements, produce functional and technical designs, and handle change requests, incidents and bug fixes.
• Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews and mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• 7+ years of software development experience with strong C# and .NET expertise.
• Proven experience migrating legacy VB.NET applications to modern C#/.NET architectures.
• Advanced SQL Server skills, including stored procedures, performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Solid experience working in Agile environments and excellent stakeholder communication.
