Senior Manager, Management Accounting

About the role

The Senior Manager of Management Accounting will provide strategic direction and governance for the Marula Operations finance and commercial functions. This role ensures sustainable financial performance while aligning procurement, materials management, community development, payroll and property activities with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a financial and commercial management strategy for Marula Operations.
• Track performance against the strategy and translate it into tactical plans for finance and commercial teams.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external standards and legislation.
• Identify and mitigate commercial and financial risks through audits and stakeholder collaboration.
• Maintain strong relationships with senior management, employees and unions.
• Drive continuous improvement in commercial services and financial management processes.
• Oversee staffing, skill development and succession planning for key roles.

Required profile

• Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent.
• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification or related financial qualification; MBA or Management Development Programme preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of senior management experience in the mining industry.
• Proven ability to work in an SAP/BW/BPC environment or equivalent.
• Strong leadership, communication, strategic execution and influencing skills at executive and senior management levels.
