Senior Machine Learning Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our Advanced Data Products team. You will design, build, and optimise ML models and pipelines that drive real business impact, ensuring they move from prototype to production at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimise machine learning models and pipelines that deliver measurable business value.
• Own the full ML lifecycle—from data ingestion and feature engineering to training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.
• Develop and maintain MLOps infrastructure for reliable, repeatable model delivery.
• Collaborate with AI engineers and data teams to translate business use cases into production‑grade solutions.
• Implement observability tooling to monitor model performance, drift, and data quality in production.
• Mentor junior engineers, review code, and foster technical growth within the team.
• Continuously improve model quality, efficiency, and scalability across the product suite.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science or a related field.
• Proven track record of building, deploying, and operating ML systems at scale.
• Strong foundation in statistics, mathematics, and data modelling.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and communicating across engineering and data teams.

Required skills

• Deep machine‑learning expertise (algorithms, model selection, evaluation).
• Production‑ready software engineering (clean, maintainable code).
• MLOps experience (pipelines, experiment tracking, model versioning, deployment).
• Hands‑on cloud experience, preferably AWS.
• Observability tools for monitoring, alerting, and model health.
• Statistical analysis and data‑modelling techniques.
