Senior Learning & Development Manager

About the role

The Senior Learning & Development Manager will lead the strategic design, delivery and evaluation of learning programmes for a specific campaign. Reporting to senior leadership, you will ensure continuous professional development for all employees while aligning training initiatives with business performance goals.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the overall L&D strategy for the assigned campaign.
• Manage up to three Learning & Development Managers and their teams of Learning & Development Officers.
• Represent L&D on client calls, transition activities and performance review meetings.
• Monitor commercial contracts, KPIs and scorecards to drive business impact.
• Maintain training facilities, equipment, materials and ensure a professional learning environment.
• Control the training budget, analyse needs and develop new or improved programmes.
• Oversee logistical support, course development, delivery, evaluation and cost management.
• Lead the transition of new clients to Capita SA for all training‑related matters.
• Conduct performance evaluations and ensure compliance with HR policies and brand values.
• Produce regular reports and documentation for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing L&D teams and large‑scale learning programmes.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to interpret KPI data.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Budget management experience.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and lead strategic initiatives.
