Senior Lead Software Engineer – Tax Solutions (Bangkok)

About the role

Agoda’s FinTech team is looking for a senior technical leader to shape the future of its tax technology ecosystem. Based in Bangkok, the Senior Lead Software Engineer will define architecture, drive roadmap, and deliver enterprise‑grade tax platforms that support high‑volume global financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the architecture vision and roadmap for scalable, secure, and compliant tax platforms.
• Collaborate with finance domain experts, product managers, engineering teams, and fellow architects to translate complex tax regulations into technical solutions.
• Guide architectural decisions, evaluate trade‑offs, and coach engineering teams throughout implementation.
• Ensure tax platforms are resilient, observable, and adaptable to evolving regulatory requirements.
• Balance compliance and governance with engineering velocity, cost efficiency, and long‑term platform quality.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and delivering large‑scale, mission‑critical platforms.
• Strong understanding of tax, compliance, or financial systems in a global context.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with finance, product, and engineering stakeholders.
• Leadership experience guiding technical teams and influencing architectural direction.
