Senior L3 IT Infrastructure Engineer

About the role
We are seeking a Senior L3 IT Infrastructure Engineer to provide advanced technical support and lead critical infrastructure projects for a high‑profile client in London. You will act as the ultimate escalation point, ensuring seamless operation of complex Windows, Linux, virtualization, networking and cloud environments.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as final escalation for high‑impact incidents, conduct root‑cause analysis and implement long‑term fixes.
- Manage and optimise Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint and virtualization platforms (VMware, Citrix, Netscaler).
- Design, maintain and monitor backup, disaster‑recovery and high‑availability solutions (Veeam, SAN, HP servers, UPS).
- Lead network troubleshooting, security hardening and implementation of firewalls, VPNs and advanced security tools (Palo Alto, Darktrace, Zscaler, CrowdStrike).
- Support DevOps pipelines, automate tasks with PowerShell and Python, and optimise SQL Server environments.
- Mentor L1/L2 engineers and drive automation, monitoring (PRTG) and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required profile
- Proven experience solving complex infrastructure problems in a fast‑paced, business‑critical environment.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to lead projects and mentor junior staff.
- Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.

- Darktrace, Zscaler, CrowdStrike.
- GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps, Visual Studio, PowerShell, Python.
- SQL Server 2016/2019, Reporting Services, Integration Services, Power BI.
