Senior L2 Infra Engineer

About the role

The Senior L2 Infrastructure Engineer provides advanced technical support for infrastructure incidents and service requests, acting as a bridge between Level 1 support and engineering teams. The role ensures stability, performance, and security of core IT systems in a fast‑paced, regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve escalated infrastructure issues from L1 support.
• Perform root‑cause analysis and implement long‑term solutions.
• Collaborate with L3 engineers and vendors for complex issue resolution.
• Monitor and maintain servers, storage, network devices, and Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Execute routine maintenance, patching, and upgrades, including managed‑services coordination.
• Support backup, disaster‑recovery, and business‑continuity operations.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell, Bash, Python) and use IaC tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with ISO 27001, PCI‑DSS and other regulations.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with application support, DevOps, and security teams.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in IT infrastructure support or systems administration.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Experience working in high‑compliance, fast‑moving environments, preferably FinTech or banking.
• Ability to work across diverse cultures and geographies.
