Senior IT Technician

About the role

We are seeking a Senior IT Technician to provide desktop and networking support to end‑users across our Johannesburg sites. The role combines hands‑on technical work with occasional travel to client locations, requiring a reliable vehicle and willingness to stay overnight when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first‑line desktop support, including hardware, software and peripheral troubleshooting.
• Configure, maintain and troubleshoot network infrastructure for end‑users.
• Perform on‑site visits to various company sites, providing timely resolution of IT issues.
• Document incidents and solutions in the ticketing system.
• Collaborate with other IT team members to implement upgrades and improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in desktop and networking support.
• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle.
• Willingness to travel and stay away from home periodically.

Required skills

• A+ certification.
• N+ certification.
• MCSE or equivalent Microsoft certification.
