Senior Human Capital Business Partner & ER Lead

About the role

The Senior HCBP and ER Lead will head a team of Regional Human Capital Business Partners, supporting multiple regions and business units within Sanlam Retail Mass. The role bridges business needs and human capital strategy, ensuring talent management, compliance and transformation initiatives are delivered effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor to managers on all people matters, including talent acquisition, performance management, rewards and recognition.
• Drive awareness and adherence to Sanlam’s people strategy, policies and regulatory requirements.
• Lead the implementation of diversity, inclusion, transformation and change programmes across the business unit.
• Oversee reporting, analytics and measurement related to human capital performance.
• Support talent acquisition from need identification through onboarding, leveraging Sanlam’s job architecture and assessment tools.
• Facilitate leadership and development programmes, coordinating with Talent and L&D centres of excellence.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification with at least 5 years of relevant experience; a postgraduate qualification is advantageous.
• Strong business understanding, data analysis and trend interpretation within a complex environment.
• Experience in complex HR support, HR consulting and solution delivery.
• Personal attributes such as courage, ability to manage complexity, accountability and strategic planning.
