Senior HR Consultant – 3‑Month Mining Contract

About the role

LevelUp is seeking an experienced Senior HR Consultant to join a mining operation in Limpopo on a three‑month contract. The role requires immediate, hands‑on leadership to support union engagement, employee relations and compliance with South African labour law.

Key responsibilities

• Lead union engagement and collective bargaining processes.
• Manage employee relations, disciplinary actions, grievances and dispute resolution.
• Handle CCMA matters and ensure labour law compliance.
• Conduct workforce planning, organisational development and change‑management initiatives.
• Oversee performance management, talent development and restructuring projects.
• Ensure compliance with Employment Equity, BBBEE, Skills Development and other regulatory requirements.
• Produce HR reports, conduct audits and provide workforce analytics.

Required profile

• 8–15 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in mining or heavy industry.
• Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation and experience with organised labour and union structures.
• Relevant qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology or a related field.
• Ability to travel to mining sites as required.
