Senior Head Office Internal Auditor

About the role

The Senior Head Office Internal Auditor will join the Group Internal Audit function of a leading South African fashion retailer. This senior position provides exposure to both South African and UK entities and plays a key role in strengthening governance, risk management and internal controls across a complex retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and report on internal audit engagements covering finance, operations and compliance.
• Assess the effectiveness of governance frameworks, risk management processes and internal control systems.
• Identify improvement opportunities and provide actionable recommendations to senior management.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure audit findings are understood and addressed.
• Maintain audit documentation in accordance with professional standards and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an internal auditor within a large, multi‑entity organisation.
• Strong professional judgement, accountability and consistency in delivering audit outcomes.
• Ability to work independently while partnering with diverse business functions.
• Motivation to add value through insightful, risk‑focused audit work.
