Senior Google Cloud Engineer (GCP) – Hybrid Full‑Time

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Google Cloud Engineer to design, build and scale secure GCP environments for our financial services clients. The role combines hands‑on engineering, architecture guidance and stakeholder engagement across cloud, data and software teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and support scalable and secure GCP environments.
• Establish cloud foundations, landing zones and governance frameworks.
• Lead application modernisation and cloud‑native adoption.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Support Kubernetes and container‑based platforms.
• Drive best practices in architecture, automation, security and reliability.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, observability and platform engineering.
• Collaborate with Cloud, Data and Software Engineering teams.
• Participate in architecture reviews and solution design.
• Mentor engineers and develop capability.

Required profile

• 5+ years in cloud or platform engineering.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Google Cloud Platform.
• Proven expertise with Terraform and IaaS.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker and container platforms.
• Background in application modernisation and cloud‑native practices.
• Solid understanding of networking, IAM, cloud security and monitoring.
• Experience in customer‑facing or consulting environments.
• Ability to lead technical discussions and architecture decisions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Passion for mentoring and enabling teams.
