Information Technology Auditor

About the role

The client, a leader in retail, manufacturing and industrial sectors, is seeking an IT Internal Auditor to own and execute end‑to‑end IT audits. You will evaluate critical IT control areas, work closely with IT management, and help mature a function that is less than five years old.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and report on IT audits in line with the approved audit plan, covering ITGCs, application controls and technical reviews.
• Conduct follow‑up reviews to verify that audit findings are fully remediated and closed on time.
• Maintain and expand the digital auditing tool ALICE, including data connector installation, risk acceptance validation and query resolution.
• Develop and standardise audit methodology, working papers, sampling approaches and report templates.
• Collaborate with IT Management, the ALICE team and specialist auditors to enhance continuous auditing using tools such as Alteryx, SQL, Power Apps, Power BI and Power Automate.
• Provide input for the IT internal audit scope and present audit plan coverage to the audit committee.

Required profile

• BCom/BSc degree with an IT specialisation (mandatory).
• Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification (mandatory).
• 3–4 years of proven IT audit experience, preferably with exposure to IT governance and security practices.
• Additional certifications such as CIA, A+, Network+ or Security+ are advantageous.
• Strong analytical, report‑writing and independent judgment skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with Alteryx, Transact‑SQL (TSQL) and VBA scripting.
• Hands‑on knowledge of Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI.
• Familiarity with robotic process automation tools such as UiPath or n8n.
• Experience using the digital auditing platform ALICE.
