Senior General Manager – Operations

About the role

WNS, a leading AI‑powered intelligent operations provider, is seeking a Senior General Manager – Operations to steer its multi‑unit business across contact‑centre and service delivery functions. The role reports directly to the Corporate SVP Operations and will shape long‑term operational strategy while ensuring day‑to‑day excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute operational strategies that align with corporate goals and drive continuous improvement.
• Oversee daily activities across multiple business units, including contact‑centre sales and service operations.
• Monitor key performance indicators, quality, safety and compliance standards to meet performance targets.
• Manage budgets, cost controls and resource allocation to enhance profitability.
• Lead, mentor and develop senior managers and functional heads, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
• Act as the primary liaison between operations and executive leadership, representing the function in board meetings and strategic discussions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with 15+ years of progressive operations management experience.
• At least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing large‑scale operations.
• Proven track record of delivering measurable results and driving operational efficiency.
• Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management.
• Excellent leadership, communication and decision‑making abilities.
