Senior Full Stack Engineer (Node/React) – Hybrid – Cape Town

About the role

We are seeking a senior full‑stack engineer to own mission‑critical applications, modernise legacy systems and deliver high‑impact solutions for a fast‑growing organisation. The role combines hands‑on development with strategic design, allowing you to shape architecture from concept through production.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain enterprise‑grade web applications using Node.js, TypeScript and React.
• Modernise legacy codebases and migrate functionality to modern stacks.
• Build and optimise relational database schemas and write efficient SQL queries.
• Define and implement RESTful APIs, ensuring scalability and security.
• Collaborate with product owners, designers and QA to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Manage deployment pipelines, monitor performance and provide production support.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Mathematics or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proven track record delivering full‑stack applications in an enterprise environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross‑functional stakeholders.
