Senior Front-End Developer (Angular)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Front‑End Developer to join our team in Menlyn, South Africa. You will work on a modern Angular platform, delivering high‑quality web applications and supporting legacy systems under strict SLA agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse requirements and develop new features and maintain existing applications.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure quality, maintainability and adherence to best practices.
• Perform testing, defect resolution and support deployment processes.
• Provide third‑level production support and hyper‑care after releases.
• Prepare technical documentation in line with ISO standards.
• Collaborate with product owners, system owners and agile teams, taking part in daily stand‑ups, sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Coach colleagues and users when required and travel internationally if needed.

Required profile

• Degree in IT or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of software development experience, preferably in front‑end engineering.
• Strong understanding of Git version‑control best practices.
• Experience supporting legacy systems with defined SLA priorities.

Required skills

• Angular v18+.
• JavaScript / TypeScript.
• npm, Ngrx, Jest, RxJS, ESLint, Prettier.
• Git.
• Knowledge of AWS, microservice architecture, RESTful APIs, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Kafka, Loki, Prometheus, Grafana, Playwright, CI/CD pipelines, Hexagonal architecture, IT security best practices, JIRA and Confluence.
