Senior Financial Manager

About the role

We are seeking a commercially‑minded finance leader to own and scale our finance function in a fast‑growing technology environment. Reporting to the General Manager, you will shape financial strategy, strengthen governance, and drive operational excellence across a complex cross‑border operation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the finance function, overseeing reporting, controls, governance and treasury.
• Assess, redesign and implement best‑practice financial processes and systems.
• Develop and enforce financial policies, procedures and internal‑control frameworks.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow, financial reporting and strategic planning.
• Own month‑end, year‑end, audit and treasury activities across multiple African markets.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax regulations and local regulatory requirements.
• Partner with senior leadership to provide strategic financial insights.
• Build, develop and mentor the finance team while collaborating with operations, legal, compliance and technology stakeholders.

Required profile

• CA(SA) qualification (essential).
• Minimum 5 years finance experience, at least 3 years in senior leadership.
• Proven track record in FinTech, SaaS, payments, crypto or other high‑growth digital businesses.
• Deep understanding of cross‑border finance, treasury operations and African regulatory environments.
• Experience building or transforming finance functions.
• CFA or MBA is a plus.
