Senior Financial Manager: BCB

About the role

The Senior Financial Manager will lead consolidated financial analysis, reporting and controls across Business & Commercial Banking, aligning with Nedbank’s strategy. You will provide insights that drive strategic decisions and partner with key stakeholders to influence outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse financial information, highlight anomalies and provide actionable recommendations.
• Prepare and review accurate budgets, ensuring alignment with economic indicators and strategic initiatives.
• Review reconciliations, resolve unreconciled items and ensure accurate financial results.
• Compile financial statements in compliance with IFRS and regulatory frameworks.
• Consolidate financial reports, add value through cross‑functional data integration and stakeholder engagement.
• Coach and guide the finance team on best‑practice analysis, reporting and risk management.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) or equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of financial management experience, preferably in financial services.
• At least 2 years of proven leadership experience managing finance teams.
• Strong expertise in IFRS, financial reporting, budgeting and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and decision‑making abilities.
