Senior Financial Consultant (Fixed-Term)

About the role

Go2Africa, a tailor-made safari specialist and part of the B Corp-certified Nawiri Group, is hiring a Senior Financial Consultant on a fixed-term contract in Cape Town. The role supports the finance function of one of the Group's operating brands, driving performance, profitability and sustainable growth. It reports to the Financial Manager and Group CFO and advises key stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the finance function and financial reporting: review monthly management accounts and reporting packs, and improve and standardise reporting processes and controls
• Ensure compliance with Group reporting requirements, timelines and accounting policies
• Capture and reconcile debtor receipts, bank statements, credit card receipts and direct deposits in the travel management and accounting system
• Provide proactive financial analysis and brand-specific insights, and evaluate new business opportunities such as acquisitions and partnerships
• Review performance against budget monthly, reforecast quarterly, and prepare monthly cashflow projections
• Lead cost optimisation discussions with external providers and support due diligence, financial modelling and commercial assessments for acquisitions
• Support treasury operations, cash management and investment strategies, and manage foreign currency exposure and risk
• Manage relationships with auditors, banks and business partners, and engage regularly with Group Finance
• Support senior leadership with commercial activities such as contract reviews, risk assessment and payment facilitation

Required profile

• Tertiary accounting qualification; CA(SA) or CIMA preferred
• 5 years' finance experience, including 3-5 years in a senior role (e.g. Financial Manager)
• Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cashflow management, strategic finance and team leadership
• Experience with executive leadership, auditors, banks and group-level stakeholders
• Multi-country and multi-currency accounting and a Group reporting structure are advantageous
