Senior Director – Finance Revenue Administration

About the role

The Senior Director, Revenue Administration leads the University of Johannesburg’s Student Finance function. This senior position ensures operational effectiveness, strict compliance with statutory regulations, and high‑quality service delivery to students across fee setting, billing, collections, and scholarship administration.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic and operational plans for the Revenue Administration Division.
• Direct the full Student Finance function, including fee setting, billing, and management of internal and external bursaries and loans (NSFAS/DHET).
• Coordinate inter‑office processes to ensure seamless student enrolment across faculties and support divisions.
• Establish credit control policies, analytical tools and systems to optimise debt recovery while protecting student wellbeing.
• Oversee external collections and manage sundry income streams, cash flow and credit control mechanisms.
• Manage allocation, forecasting and administration of internally and externally funded bursaries and scholarships.
• Identify strategic and operational risks, implement mitigating controls and report progress to the CFO and Risk Management Committee.
