Senior DevOps Engineer – Bellville

About the role

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our high‑performance team in Bellville, Cape Town. You will drive automation, CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure reliability in a fast‑moving environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Ansible, Docker and Terraform.
• Automate provisioning and configuration of Linux and Windows servers across VMware, Hyper‑V and KVM environments.
• Provide day‑to‑day client support, ensuring service‑level objectives are met or exceeded.
• Mentor junior team members and coordinate training to close skill gaps.
• Produce monthly performance and project reports for stakeholders.
• Develop scripts and infrastructure‑as‑code solutions to meet new client requirements and process‑automation initiatives.

Required profile

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• Valid Code B driver’s licence with own transport.
• 4+ years experience in IT infrastructure management.
• 3‑5 years hands‑on experience with Linux, Windows Server and networking.
• 3‑5 years software development or scripting experience.
• 1‑2 years experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper‑V, KVM).

Required skills

• CI/CD pipelines, Ansible, Docker, Terraform.
• Scripting languages: NodeJS, Perl, Bash, Python, PHP.
• Version control and collaboration: Git, Jira.
• Networking: Cisco (CCNA), Mikrotik, general networking concepts.
• Databases: SQL, NoSQL; API development (REST, JSON, XML, YAML).
• Virtualisation platforms: VMware, Hyper‑V, KVM.
