Senior Development Manager

About the role

Citra is a property and technology company working to improve the global housing industry. Working from our head office in Cape Town, you will manage projects from inception through to completion, ensuring they meet Citra's strategic targets on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Lead feasibility studies and financial assessments.
• Secure planning permissions and regulatory approvals.
• Oversee design development and procurement.
• Manage construction delivery and timelines.
• Control budgets and monitor financial performance.
• Report to executive leadership and investors.
• Ensure projects meet safety, quality, time and company standards.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in the Built Environment (Engineering, Architecture, or related field).
• At least 10 years experience in property development or real‑estate project delivery with a proven track record on large‑scale residential or mixed‑use projects.

Required skills

• Financial modelling and development appraisals.
• Budget control and cost management.
• Risk assessment and mitigation.
• Planning and regulatory processes.
• Knowledge of property law, construction contracts and compliance frameworks.
