Senior Client Accountant

About the role

Our client is seeking a Senior Client Accountant to join their growing Accounting & Tax division in Cape Town. The role involves managing a portfolio of clients and delivering outsourced accounting and tax services across diverse industries.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of client accounts, ensuring timely delivery of accounting and tax services.
• Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns and related compliance documents.
• Coordinate with clients to gather information, resolve queries and meet statutory deadlines.
• Maintain accurate records in accounting software and ensure adherence to South African tax regulations.
• Support junior staff and contribute to continuous improvement of service processes.

Required profile

• BCom or BCompt degree.
• Completed Articles with SAICA or SAIPA.
• Minimum three years of post‑articles experience in an accounting firm.
• Strong knowledge of SARS eFiling and tax compliance.
• Proficiency in Xero accounting software.
