Senior Buyer – FMCG & Beverage Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Buyer to lead procurement for a leading beverage manufacturer in Johannesburg. The role focuses on sourcing, negotiating and managing packaging and related categories to support production and brand growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for packaging and related FMCG categories.
• Negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships to achieve cost optimisation.
• Analyse spend data, market trends and procurement metrics to inform strategic decisions.
• Maintain compliance with procurement processes and ensure accurate use of purchasing systems and ERP platforms.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as production, finance and logistics to align supply with demand.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of buying experience in FMCG, beverage or food manufacturing.
• Tertiary qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain or a related field.
• Proven track record in supplier negotiation, contract management and cost optimisation.
• Valid driver’s licence and own transport.
• Available references and recent payslips.
