Senior Azure DevOps Engineer (AI Build Team)

About the role

DVT is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with strong Azure expertise to join an AI Build Team. This client‑facing consulting role involves working directly with enterprise customers in financial services, telecommunications, government and other sectors, delivering automated Azure environments and reliable CI/CD pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and evolve Azure Landing Zones, applying governance guardrails with Azure Policy and Entra ID.
• Implement and maintain identity and access controls using Entra ID, Azure RBAC and policy.
• Build and manage production infrastructure as code with Terraform and/or Bicep across dev, test and prod environments.
• Develop containerised, vendor‑neutral workloads that run on Azure and private cloud without Kubernetes, ensuring data residency in South Africa.
• Automate CI/CD pipelines for .NET/C# web API delivery and support AI solution components such as OCR, document extraction, graph analytics and agentic AI.

Required profile

• 3+ years hands‑on DevOps or platform engineering experience with a strong Azure focus.
• Proven production experience using Terraform and/or Bicep and solid understanding of the Azure Landing Zone model.
• Strong Git and pipeline automation skills, with experience mentoring junior engineers.
