Senior Automation Engineer

About the role

Inspired Testing is a leading quality engineering consultancy seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to lead the design, development and maintenance of robust automation frameworks that accelerate software delivery for its global clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead creation and maintenance of automation frameworks supporting efficient testing and development practices.
• Refactor existing codebases to improve scalability, maintainability and performance.
• Apply SOLID design principles to ensure modular, reusable automation code.
• Integrate automation tools into the Test Life Cycle (TLC) and CI/CD pipelines to streamline testing and deployment.
• Conduct static code analysis and improve code coverage using SonarQube.
• Develop and maintain internal tools that enhance development and testing efficiency.
• Report automation progress and results to stakeholders, highlighting impact on project timelines and quality.
• Contribute to the Inspired Testing Community of Practice and continuously improve internal standards.

Required profile

• Advanced understanding of automation framework design and maintenance with a focus on scalability and reusability.
• Proficiency in refactoring code and applying SOLID design principles to automation projects.
• Strong experience integrating automation within TLC and CI/CD pipelines.
• Expertise using SonarQube or similar tools to maintain high code quality and coverage.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder reporting and team collaboration.
