SYSPRO Administrator

About the role

Our client, a well‑established organisation in the manufacturing and commercial services sector, is seeking a methodical and detail‑oriented SYSPRO Administrator to join their team in Bryanston, Johannesburg. Reporting to the IT Manager, you will be responsible for the administration, support, optimisation and continuous improvement of the SYSPRO ERP environment across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain SYSPRO ERP across test, development and production environments.
• Monitor system performance, apply upgrades, patches, backups and manage disaster recovery.
• Manage SYSPRO user accounts, roles, permissions and access controls.
• Maintain master data integrity for inventory, BOMs, customers, suppliers, warehouses and routing.
• Provide 1st and 2nd line SYSPRO support and troubleshoot system‑related issues.
• Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using Crystal Reports, SSRS, SQL, Excel and ODBC.
• Analyse business processes to identify ERP improvement and automation opportunities.
• Support month‑end and year‑end processes, stock takes and reconciliations.

Required profile

• Matric/N3 or equivalent.
• 3–5 years’ experience in SYSPRO ERP administration and support.
• Experience in manufacturing, distribution or supply‑chain environments (advantageous).
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Customer‑focused approach with strong attention to detail.
