Senior Android Developer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Android Developer to join an innovative team in Centurion. The role focuses on creating high‑performance, beautiful Android applications using modern architecture and development practices.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain advanced Android applications.
• Utilise Kotlin, Coroutines, Jetpack Compose and the Android SDK to deliver robust solutions.
• Apply MVVM and other architecture patterns to ensure scalability and maintainability.
• Identify performance bottlenecks, resolve bugs and optimise app efficiency.
• Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies to improve development productivity.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of native Android development experience.
• At least 3 years leading design and architecture of complex Android apps.
• Proven ability to make key technical decisions and set development standards.
• Experience mentoring and guiding other engineers.
• Strong communication skills to convey technical vision and trade‑offs.

Required skills

• Kotlin and Java programming.
• Coroutines, LiveData, Flow, observables and streams.
• Jetpack Compose UI toolkit.
• Android SDK and modern Android development tools.
• MVVM architectural pattern.
