Senior Analyst, Retail Industry Insights

About the role

NielsenIQ Customer Success works within the Analytics & Insights team, delivering retail measurement insights and analysis for retailer clients across South Africa. The Senior Analyst position is based in Durban and focuses on delighting clients through timely, value-driven analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure value analysis is delivered on time, aligned with the Account Plan and strategic business priorities
• Support thought leadership materials and account-building materials for prospects
• Provide performance and business issue analysis to retailer clients
• Build deep knowledge of NielsenIQ RMS solutions and deliver value for clients
• Work closely with the Consulting Lead, Operations Team and Retailer Vertical to improve the customer experience
• Use the NIQ Connect platform in presentations and embed guided analytics to promote self-service
• Map all deliverables, keep responses transparent and meet the agreed service mix
• Promote NIQ Discover (data pulls, reporting, guided analytics) and NIQ Tools and systems, and plan client trainings
• Follow the internal training and certification process and the service code and golden rules

Required profile

• Graduate, preferably with a background in Statistics (Master's degree preferred)
• Fast learner, curious and interested in exploring data
• Excellent analytical, numeric and logical thinking
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Ability to work independently and in a team

Required skills

• Good communication and presentation skills
• Competence in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
