Senior Accounts Administrator

About the role

Old Mutual is seeking a Senior Accounts Administrator to lead the financial reporting and cross‑border payment processes for its overseas pensioners. The role combines day‑to‑day accounting operations with oversight of foreign‑exchange controls and audit query management.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and monitor financial reporting systems, preparing accounts, statements and invoices.
• Control and maintain accounting links to the general ledger and ensure accurate monthly control‑account reporting.
• Manage the end‑to‑end process for SWIFT and manual BOP payments to overseas pensioners.
• Resolve foreign‑exchange queries and support FOREX approval applications.
• Respond to audit queries and maintain comprehensive transaction records.
• Ensure daily banking controls are executed and reported.

Required profile

• Matriculation certificate (required); tertiary qualification advantageous.
• Minimum five years of experience in a financial environment.
• Strong understanding of foreign‑exchange control legislation and processes.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively and uphold company values.

Required skills

• Computer literacy.
• Working knowledge of the CAS Post Retirement system (advantageous).
