Senior Accountant (Remote, US GAAP)

About the role

We are a US‑based accounting and financial operations firm seeking a seasoned Senior Accountant to join our remote team. You will own the month‑end close, financial reporting, and advisory for a portfolio of small‑to‑medium clients, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and delivering actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full month‑end close for multiple clients, including AP, AR, and account reconciliations.
• Perform accrual adjustments, project cost tracking, and job‑costing analysis.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, variance analysis, and KPI commentary.
• Handle U.S. sales tax filing and compliance for client entities.
• Troubleshoot integrations between CRM, billing, and accounting platforms.
• Support audit preparation and maintain audit‑ready documentation.
• Communicate professionally with clients via email and virtual meetings.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional accounting experience, preferably in public or outsourced accounting.
• Strong expertise in accrual‑based accounting and U.S. GAAP.
• Proven ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Self‑motivated, independent problem‑solver.
