Senior Accountant – Hospitality Industry

About the role

Howard Financial, a fast‑growing back‑office solutions provider, is looking for a Senior Accountant to support its hospitality‑focused client portfolio. The role will ensure accurate financial reporting, timely month‑end closes, and strong internal controls across multiple properties.

Key responsibilities

• Independently drive the month‑end close process and prepare accurate P&L and Balance Sheet statements in compliance with US GAAP.
• Streamline balance‑sheet reconciliation as client volume increases.
• Manage journal entries, financial reporting, and reconciliations for multiple hospitality properties or client accounts.
• Utilize hospitality and accounting platforms to process daily financial data and optimise workflows.
• Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes, internal controls, and client service delivery.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in hospitality, property accounting, or outsourced accounting services.
• Rock‑solid understanding of US GAAP, financial reporting, and full‑cycle account reconciliations.
• Experience with hospitality‑specific systems (e.g., Opera, Sertifi, Toast) is highly desired.
• Self‑starter with strong accountability, able to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
