Senior Accountant – Full Cycle Finance Role

About the role

Join a leading market‑leader in Pretoria as a Senior Accountant, taking full ownership of the end‑to‑end finance function. You will operate as a central anchor within the finance team, managing the complete accounting cycle and delivering high‑quality financial intelligence.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting lifecycle, from transaction processing to month‑end close.
• Prepare, compile and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with statutory frameworks.
• Conduct balance‑sheet reconciliations, post adjusting journals and maintain record integrity.
• Support senior executives with budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow analysis.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and internal controls; act as primary contact for external audits.
• Evaluate and improve financial workflows to increase efficiency and control.

Required profile

• BCom degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• Successful completion of SAICA or SAIPA training articles (mandatory).
• 4–6 years of commercial accounting experience post‑articles, with solid references.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.

Required skills

• CaseWare for financial reporting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
