Senior Accountant – BCom SAICA Articles (FinTech)

About the role

Join a fast‑growing FinTech company as a Senior Accountant responsible for the end‑to‑end finance function. This hands‑on position offers immediate ownership of financial reporting, compliance and tax management within an innovative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full finance function, including month‑end and year‑end processes.
• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with CIPC and all statutory requirements.
• Oversee taxation matters, including VAT and income tax.
• Manage budgets, cash‑flow forecasting and financial reporting.
• Liaise with auditors and external stakeholders.
• Maintain strong financial controls and drive process improvements.

Required profile

• BCom Degree (Honours) with completed SAICA Articles – non‑negotiable.
• Solid technical accounting and taxation knowledge.
• Strong understanding of CIPC and statutory compliance.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Self‑motivated, proactive and hands‑on approach.
