Security, Privacy & Compliance Lead

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Security, Privacy & Compliance Lead to drive our South African operations. The role will own POPIA compliance, security policies, access controls and audit processes while collaborating with global security teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own and ensure adherence to local POPIA (Protection of Personal Information Act) requirements.
• Develop, maintain and enforce robust information security policies and procedures.
• Design and manage effective access‑control strategies (RBAC/ABAC).
• Establish and maintain comprehensive audit‑logging capabilities.
• Implement privacy controls and manage related documentation.
• Support security evidence collection for internal and external audits.
• Conduct security reviews, assessments and risk analyses.
• Partner with India DevSecOps and security engineering teams to align global initiatives with local needs.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in information security, privacy and compliance.
• Deep knowledge of POPIA and other data‑protection regulations.
• Proven ability to develop and manage compliance documentation.
• Experience working with government ICT/security standards is a plus.
